Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to explore the role of financial technology Fin-Tech in advancing financial inclusion, particularly in underserved populations in developing economies. Methodology This study adopts a qualitative approach, incorporating case studies and empirical evidence to analyse the impact of Fin Tech on financial inclusion. Data is gathered from a range of sources, including academic literature, reports, and industry data, to understand the key developments and challenges associated with Fin Tech solutions. Findings The findings reveal that Fin Tech innovations have significantly improved access to financial services, particularly in underserved communities. These innovations have overcome traditional barriers such as geographical limitations, lack of financial literacy, and insufficient infrastructure, demonstrating the potential of Fin Tech to drive inclusive growth. However, challenges like digital literacy, regulatory issues, and cybersecurity remain prevalent. Implications The paper highlights the potential for policy makers and financial institutions to leverage Fin-Tech in promoting financial inclusion. It suggests that addressing barriers such as regulatory hurdles and expanding digital literacy could further enhance the effectiveness of Fin Tech solutions. Originality This paper provides a novel perspective by focusing on Fin Techs transformative impact on financial inclusion, offering insights into emerging trends. It contributes to the existing literature by shedding light on both the opportunities and challenges in the FinTech space, with a particular emphasis on underserved communities.
