Abstract: Purpose This paper investigates the evolving role of block chain technology in fostering sustainable supply chains. The study aims to explore how block chains core attributes such as decentralization, transparency, and security can address persistent challenges in financial systems and supply chain management. Methodology The research adopts a qualitative approach, and draws on empirical evidence from academic studies, industry reports, real world implementations, and key block chain innovations and their applications in supply chain sustainability are analysed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the technologys impact. Findings The study reveals that block chain technology has been instrumental in supply chain management, block chain has improved transparency and traceability, ensuring ethical sourcing and reducing fraud. Case studies, such as the integration of block chain in mobile payment platforms and sustainable fashion initiatives, demonstrate how businesses are leveraging block chain to achieve both economic and environmental goals. Implications The findings have significant implications for policymakers, businesses, and financial institutions. Blockchains ability to streamline supply chain processes and improve financial access presents opportunities for fostering sustainable economic growth. Originality This paper offers a unique perspective on the intersection of blockchain technology and sustainability. By focusing on developments from 2020 to 2025, the research provides a timely analysis of recent innovations and emerging trends. It contributes to the existing body of knowledge by presenting case studies and insights that highlight block chains transformative impact on supply chain sustainability.
