Title of the paper :
Portrayal of Illusion of Perfection in Paula Hawkins The Girl On The Train
Abstract:
Paula Hawkins The Girl on the Train weaves the concept of the illusion of beauty into the tale, highlighting the sharp contrast between appearance and reality. The novel explores how humans create facades to hide their broken lives through the eyes of Rachel, an untrustworthy narrator. The seemingly ideal suburban existence, as seen from a train window, devolves into a labyrinth of deception, treachery, and hidden turmoil. Hawkins eloquently demonstrates how the desire for perfection distorts perceptions while also fuelling obsession and self destruction. The work encourages readers to examine the veracity of what they see and to realize that the appearance of perfection frequently conceals serious flaws.
