Title of the paper :
Healthcare Access and Expenditure among Climate Refugees: An Emerging Challenge
Abstract:
Climate induced displacement is emerging as a defining humanitarian and economic issue of the twenty first century. Climate refugees people forced to migrate due to rising sea levels, extreme weather, and resource degradation face multidimensional vulnerabilities, among which access to healthcare and rising health expenditures are of critical concern. This paper examines the challenges faced by climate refugees in accessing healthcare services and analyses the financial burden associated with medical care in host regions. Drawing on existing literature and global data, it explores the interplay between climate change, health inequities, and socioeconomic exclusion. The article also highlights policy implications and suggests frameworks for ensuring equitable healthcare systems for displaced populations.
