Literature and Digital Humanities
Abstract:
The intersection of Literature and Digital Humanities DH represents a major transformation in the way texts are produced, studied, and understood in the twenty first century. It interprets and disseminates of literary texts through the Digital Humanities integrates computational tools, data analytics, and digital media into literary research, enabling new forms of textual analysis, preservation, and dissemination. This encourages distant reading enabling the analysis of large corpora to uncover patterns, themes, and cultural network across time and geography. This convergence has expanded the boundaries of traditional literary studies, allowing scholars to visualize patterns, map narratives, and engage in collaborative, open access scholarship. From digital archives and text mining to hypertext fiction and online literary communities, DH has democratized literary participation and interpretation. However, it also raises questions about authorship, authenticity, and digital divide. Thus, the fusion of literature and digital technologies not only broadens the scope of literary inquiry but also reshapes the very nature of how we create, read, and understand the texts in modern era. This paper explores the evolution, methods, and implications of Digital Humanities in the study of literature, emphasizing how technology reshapes literary scholarship, pedagogy, and creativity.
