Title of the paper :
Balram Halwai, the Proletarians Protest: A Study of Aravind Adigas The White Tiger
Abstract:
In the realm of contemporary Indian English Literature, Arvind Adiga has carved a niche as a profound writer, whose intriguing narratives explore and confront the societal complexities of modern India. His literary works incisively capture the underlying truths of human experience, thereby reflecting the innumerable socio political concerns that resonate around the world. His novel The White Tiger unfolds the harsh realities faced by the working class people in a class conscious society and through the letters written by the protagonist, Balram Halwai to the Chinese Premier, it highlights Karl Marxs concept of revolution and class struggle. Balram Halwai serves as a means for Adigas exploration of the ordeals of the marginalised and the disparities In India. By focusing on Balrams journey from an oppressed member of the working class to a defiant agent of change, this study analysis how Adigas The White Tiger functions as a form of protest, contesting the status quo and revealing the revolutionary potential inherent in the class consciousness and struggle for radical self deliverance within modern Indian society.
