Title of the paper :
The Future of Humanities in the Age of AI
Abstract:
The expeditious development of Artificial Intelligence AI in the twenty first century, has reshaped human knowledge, creativity, and ethics. Machines are increasingly simulating cognition and creativity, and this poses a crucial dilemma for the humanities to find ways to stay relevant in a world which is increasingly shaped by algorithms. This paper argues that rather than diminishing away, the humanities are setting foot into a transformative phase where their interpretive, ethical, and imaginative capacities are more essential at present than ever before. It probes into how fields like literature, philosophy, and the arts react to AIs impact on the meaning, identity, and cultural output by looking at the nexus of technology and humanistic thought. The study highlights the emerging roles of the digital humanities, the ethical governance of AI, and the posthumanist discourse that questions the essence of being human. It ultimately contends that the humanities must serve as the moral and emotional compass of the AI age, ensuring that technological progress aligns with empathy, cultural understanding, and ethical responsibility.
