Title of the paper :
Generation Beta: A New Demographic at the Intersection of AI and Society
Abstract:
Purpose This paper aims to explore the developmental implications for Generation Beta, individuals born from around 2025, who will mature within environments shaped by pervasive artificial intelligence, advanced digital infrastructures, and accelerating social change. Methodology A conceptual and integrative review approach is employed, synthesizing interdisciplinary research published across developmental psychology, AI-enabled education, digital sociology, and ethical studies. Findings The review indicates that AI-embedded systems may enhance learning personalization and health monitoring, supporting cognitive and developmental outcomes. However, it also highlights emerging risks, including cognitive overdependence on technology, algorithmic bias, reduced social interaction, and widening inequalities. Implications The findings underscore the need to expand traditional human development models and inform inclusive policy design, ethical AI governance, and child centred educational strategies. Originality This study offers an early integrative framework for understanding Generation Beta, contributing novel insights into human development at the intersection of AI and society.
