Title of the paper :
A Study of Psychological Intervention on Stress and Depression among Infertile Women
Abstract:
Infertility significantly affects the emotional and psychological well being of women. Present research aimed to assess levels of stress and depression among infertile women. To assess the stress and depression, Depression Anxiety Stress Scale DASS 21 of Lovibond and Lovibond 1995 was used and administered among 150 women undergoing fertility treatments, selected using purposive sampling age range 25 to 40 years. Pre-post design used to both experimental with intervention and control no intervention groups. In the experimental group, the stress significantly t=7.23, p<0.01 reduced mean from 26.8 SD = 5.1 to 18.4 SD = 4.6, and depression significantly t=6.87, p<0.01 reduced mean from 24.5 SD = 5.4 to 16.1 SD = 5.0. The control group showed no significant difference t < 1.2, p > 0.05. The findings imply the need for integrating mental health support into infertility care protocols.
