Title of the paper :
ETHICAL CONSIDERATION IN ADOPTING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: A CONCEPTUAL STUDY
Abstract:
The increasing application of Artificial Intelligence AI in Human Resource Management HRM has changed organizations decision making processes through automation and insights derived from existing data. AI simplifies the HRM processes as it facilitates the hiring process, evaluates employees performance and handles huge information by automating and making predictions from the employees data. Due to this technological transformation, it is raising ethical concerns in the organization. These concerns are mainly due to contradicting views on the decisions made by algorithms which affects the HR core values like equity and fairness caused due to lack of insufficient data. This conceptual study tries to explore these ethical challenges in detail by using the existing research on AI ethics and HRM. At the end, this paper suggests a conceptual framework for an ethical AI use in HRM with a strong focus on the moral responsibility among the employees. This work contributes to the existing body of knowledge on ethical AI in HRM and also offers recommendations for further empirical research to provide more insights in this field.
