IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGY ADOPTION ON BUSINESS PRODUCTIVITY & PERFORMANCE OF MSMES A CASE STUDY OF ULHASNAGAR-MAARASHTRA
Abstract:
Statement of the Problem Many SMEs in Ulhasnagar operate with limited technological tools, which restricts productivity and growth. There is a lack of empirical evidence on how the adoption of technology affects SME performance in this region. Objectives of the Study To assess the level of technology adoption among SMEs in Ulhasnagar and to evaluate the impact of technology adoption on productivity and overall business performance. Significance of the Study Helps SMEs understand the benefits of adopting relevant technologies, and provides insights for policymakers to promote digital transformation. Supports entrepreneurs in improving operational efficiency. Methodology Primary data collected from 150 SME entrepreneurs through a structured questionnaire. Descriptive and percentage analyses are used. Major Findings Most SMEs exhibit partial technological adoption. The higher adoption of automation, digital tools, and ERP systems significantly improves productivity, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
