Title of the paper :
Love as a Silent Healer: Emotional Recovery in The Promise by Nikita Singh
Abstract:
In The Promise by Nikita Singh, love emerges not as a dramatic or overpowering force, but as a quiet, steady companion in the journey toward healing. This paper explores how emotional recovery unfolds through gentle gestures, patient understanding, and the rebuilding of trust between the protagonists. Singh portrays love not as a cure all, but as something that grows slowly. May be in silence that helps individuals to reconnect with themselves after experiencing deep emotional wounds. Through the lens of emotional realism and psychological insight, the study examines how trauma, grief, and vulnerability are handled with care in the novel. The characters dont rush healing instead, they allow time, space, and empathy to guide their paths. This paper argues that The Promise redefines romantic love as a powerful yet quiet force one that doesnt fix everything but makes healing possible. It adds to the conversation around contemporary Indian romance by highlighting loves quiet role in emotional resilience and mental well being.
