Title of the paper :
Digital Transformation in Agriculture and Its Influence on Rural Development
Abstract:
Agriculture remains one of the most important sectors for economic growth in many developing nations, particularly in rural regions where a significant portion of the population depends on farming as their primary source of livelihood. In recent years, the rapid advancement of digital technologies has significantly transformed traditional agricultural practices. Technologies such as Information and Communication Technology ICT, Artificial Intelligence AI, the Internet of Things IoT, big data analytics, remote sensing, and mobile based applications are increasingly being integrated into farming systems to improve efficiency and productivity. These technologies provide farmers with real time information on weather conditions, soil quality, crop health, and market prices, enabling them to make informed decisions and improve farm management practices. Digital agriculture not only increases productivity but also plays a crucial role in promoting rural development. It enhances farmers income, improves market access, creates employment opportunities, and contributes to improving the overall standard of living in rural communities. This paper explores the concept of digital transformation in agriculture and examines its influence on rural development. It also discusses the advantages, challenges, and future opportunities associated with the adoption of digital technologies in agriculture. The study emphasizes the importance of strengthening digital infrastructure, improving farmers digital literacy, and implementing supportive government policies to ensure inclusive and sustainable rural growth.
