Title of the paper : The Great Indian Leapfrog: Evaluating Educational Technologys Impact on Learning and Equity

Abstract: The Great Indian Leapfrog is the rapid transformation of the Indian economy, from the Digital India mission to the fastest growing economy striving to achieve the vision of a developed India, Viksit Bharat, by 2047. The Digital India mission has laid the foundation for the Viksit Bharat, creating a positive hysteresis in the economy. The report examines whether this leapfrog improved Indias education sector outcomes and other socio economic indicators such as NEET youth participation, digital divide and equitable learning. The objectives of the study include first, to benchmark the present Indian EdTech against the countries like the U.S.A. and Finland, second, to evaluate the how NEP 2020 incorporates usage of Edtech and in directing the pathway to Developed India, third, to suggest few policy recommendations for India to achieve its vision for Viksit Bharat with better education system that promotes inclusivity and equity. The analysis of this study is based on SDG 2025 report, UNESCO data, World Bank and IMF datasets. Hence, this research critically examines whether the mission of Digital India is effective in achieving the goal of world class and equitable education in Viksit Bharat.
