Title of the paper : Evolving Gender Dynamics in Falling into Place by Sheryn Munir

Abstract: Gender Dynamics refers to the interaction, behaviour and relationship between the individuals of opposite gender reflecting role hierarchies and power dynamic often at subconscious level due to the internalized norms of masculinity and femininity. Recent gender studies have questioned the binary norms of gender as natural and essentially correlate with the respective biological sex they signify. It has been established by gender studies that the gender binaries are a constructed phenomenon and these binaries appear or made to appear natural by the reinforcement of repetitive performance of the gender roles which has been established by the social structure. In the present research paper, the researcher has tried to explore the gender roles and relationship between the characters of the novel Falling into Place and how the novel has portrayed a different, non-traditional gender dynamic in a very non fussy and acceptable manner which reflects the positively evolving gender dynamics in the new generation. The novel has certainly broadened the peripheries of gender binaries to some extent though not completely diminished.
