Title of the paper :
Ephemeral Nature of Beauty in Robert Frosts Nothing Gold Can Stay
Abstract:
This paper attempts to analyse the ephemeral nature of beauty in Robert Frosts Nothing Gold Can Stay. Robert Frost was a highly acclaimed American poet, whose poems mainly deal with nature. He is known for his realistic portrayal of rural life in New England. His poems have a flavour of the encounter between man and nature. Nothing Gold Can Stay describes the fleeting nature of human life. Robert Frost says, just as the gold corrodes with time, the flower that blooms during the spring season also fades away within a short span of time. The poet is of the opinion that change is inevitable everyone born in this world has to die one day or the other. So, life is impermanent, it is only a temporary journey. The poet also uses symbols like gold, flower, and Eden, to emphasize the transience of human life.
