Title of the paper :
SafeHerNet An Initial Step Towards Sexual Harassment Detection Using the Internet of Women Things
Abstract:
In todays digital and interconnected world, ensuring the safety and security of women has become a paramount concern. Harassment, both physical and digital, is a pervasive issue, often occurring in public spaces and private settings, and it demands immediate attention. This paper explores the integration of Internet of Things IoT and Internet of Women Things IoWT with blockchain technology to create a comprehensive solution for real time harassment detection and prevention. By leveraging sensors embedded in wearable devices and IoT enabled systems, this research aims to automatically monitor human actions and identify potentially dangerous situations. These actions are processed using automatic learning algorithms, which help in recognizing suspicious or illegal behaviors. When such behaviors are detected, an alert is automatically triggered to notify nearby security personnel or the nearest police station, ensuring a rapid response. To address the critical concern of data privacy, the paper further incorporates blockchain technology, ensuring that sensitive personal data is securely stored and transmitted. Blockchains decentralized nature ensures that the data cannot be tampered with, providing an immutable ledger of events and actions. Additionally, cryptographic algorithms encrypt the collected data, allowing only authorized individuals to decrypt and access it. This work presents a SafeHerNet network, a women-centric safety system leveraging both IoT and blockchain to enhance public safety. The solution offers a proactive approach to sexual harassment detection, emphasizing real time responses and the protection of personal data in the digital age.
