Abstract: Psychiatric Tales Eleven Graphics Stories about Mental Illness is an autobiography of Darryl Cunningham is intended to be a stigma bursting book. Cunningham worked for many years as a health care assistant in an acute psychiatric ward. That time he kept a diary to ponder the day to day working experiences of the psychiatric hospital. He was a cartoonist too, so his friends suggested to him that he should turn these stories into cartoon strips. But his journey as a psychiatric nurse was painful. Because psychiatric nurses are discriminated against with general nurses who did not consider psychiatric nurses as nurses at all. That is the power of stigma. So this book is dedicated to the millions who are affected by this most mysterious group of illness.
