A Study on Audiobook and Podcasts The New Age of Story Telling
Abstract:
In the digital era, audiobooks and podcasts have emerged as powerful tools for storytelling, transforming the way people consume content. This study explores how these audio formats have become the new age of storytelling by offering accessibility, flexibility, and a personal touch to listeners. Unlike traditional reading, audiobooks and podcasts allow multitasking, making it easier for audiences to engage with stories during daily activities like commuting or exercising. The rise of platforms like Audible and Spotify has contributed significantly to this shift, providing a wide variety of genres and voices. Moreover, the emotional expression and vocal nuances in narration create a more immersive experience, often making stories more relatable and memorable. This study highlights the growing popularity of these formats, especially among younger generations, and examines their impact on literacy, entertainment, and learning. The findings suggest that audiobooks and podcasts are not only reshaping the storytelling landscape but are also bridging gaps in access to literature and knowledge. With continued technological advancements, audio storytelling is poised to grow further as a mainstream medium.
