Title of the paper :
Digital Storytelling and Public Humanities
Abstract:
Digital storytelling has emerged as a transformative tool in public humanities, bridging the gap between academic research and the public. Combining traditional narrative techniques with digital media such as videos, podcasts, and interactive websites, digital storytelling offers innovative ways to present historical, cultural, and literary research to a broader, more diverse audience. This paper looks at the potential of digital storytelling in public humanities, emphasizing how multimedia approaches foster inclusivity, civic engagement and collaborative learning. The case studies of successful projects illustrate how digital platforms empower the public to interact with, contribute to, and shape knowledge. Ultimately, digital storytelling in public humanities promotes cultural preservation, enriches academic scholarship, and transforms how society engages with the humanities.
