Title of the paper :
From Page to Screen: A Comparative Study of Narrative Transformation in Book
Abstract:
This research looks at how the story of Life of Pi, written by Yann Martel, changes when it is turned into a movie directed by Ang Lee. The main goal of the study is to understand what changes when a story moves from a book to a film. Using Adaptation Theory, this paper explores how the movie tells the same story in a different way, using images, sound, and visuals instead of just words. It compares the book and the film by looking closely at scenes, characters, and important themes like faith, survival, and storytelling. The study uses a comparative method with text and visual analysis to show how some parts are added, changed, or removed in the film version. In the end, the research shows that turning a book into a movie is not copying, but creating something new while keeping the heart of the story.
