Title of the paper :
Ecocritical Insights into The Devotional World of Goswami Tulsidas: Ramcharitmanas
Abstract:
Tulsidas Ramcharitmanas offers a vision where humans exist in ecstatic reciprocity with nature. Ramas exile transforms the laws of nature by converting Chitrakoot into a sacred dwelling humanising the elements of nature and offers a divine sight, where nature comes in spiritual companionship with divine. Lord Hanuman is an epitome of the harmony that exist between humans and natural forces. Hanumas leap across the ocean is symbolic of courage empowered by the elements of nature wind and water. The delineation of Ganga and Panchavati further showcases the epics acknowledgement of ecological spaces strengthening human values and dharma. Lord Rama grieves the destruction of nature in battle and emphasizes that violence against nature and human suffering is inseparable. This ecocritical bioscope elevates and positions Ramcharitmanas as not only a devotional text but also an articulation of sustainability, exemplifying that preservation of nature aligns with moral order.
