Title of the paper :
Humanities and Technology: A Modern Perspective
Abstract:
This article examines the complex interrelationship between the humanities and technology, situating their convergence within the broader context of twenty-first century innovation. While technology is frequently perceived as a domain of progress grounded in efficiency and problem solving, the humanities contribute critical methodologies for interrogating meaning, ethics, and cultural impact. Drawing on interdisciplinary scholarship, this study argues that the integration of humanistic inquiry with technological development is indispensable for addressing pressing challenges such as algorithmic bias, digital inequality, and the ethical governance of emerging technologies. Through an analysis of case studies in artificial intelligence, digital communication, and socio-technical systems, this article demonstrates how humanistic perspectives not only inform responsible innovation but also expand the scope of technological progress to include questions of equity, identity, and human wellbeing. Ultimately, this discussion underscores the necessity of sustaining dialogue between the humanities and technology to ensure that future advancements remain both socially accountable and intellectually enriched.
