Title of the paper :
Academic Stress and Mental Burnout among College Students: Prevalence, Contributing Factors, and Intervention Strategies
Abstract:
Mental burnout and academic stress present significant challenges in higher education. Unmanaged academic strain, social pressures, and uncertain job prospects contribute to psychological distress and burnout among college students. This study aims to identify the prevalence and causes of academic stress and burnout, and to evaluate effective institutional and individual intervention strategies based on existing research. Curriculum reforms and support systems provided by institutions, healthy coping mechanisms adopted by students, emotional support from families, and systemic changes implemented by policymakers are all necessary to manage academic stress. A comprehensive, stage specific approach can help reduce burnout and support sustained student success and well being.
